Dimitra Mavrou talks to Interiors from Greece for the business and design identity of MAVROS Lighting.
“Outreach is our primary goal. The company has been constantly pursuing its way into well-developed markets abroad. Our successful presence the last five years in the Arab countries is a point of reference and a starting point for new partnerships. At the same time, we aim to improve the production process by modernizing our facilities and turning them into a fully integrated plant. Finally, we focus on the use of new materials that respond to current market trends. After all, our objective is to reduce the production time and cost”.
“Opening up to foreign markets is a step that must be properly prepared. Initially, you invest in the quality of the product with the necessary certifications and specifications needed. You also look for responsible partners that will promote your product, respecting the conditions and culture of each country. Then you create a “machine” that has to work perfectly: from the competitive price of the product and the perfect standardization up to the transfer to the final receiver. Opening up to new markets is a gradual transition. It is a quite demanding procedure and completely changes the structure of a single company by introducing new processes and standards. A transition, however, essential in the current difficult economic circumstances; as it is a factor that can create opportunities for healthy entrepreneurship”.
The design approach
“We are collaborating with Greek designers for the continuous renewal of our collections. We are not only aiming to contemporary and timeless designs, but also with the best possible environmental footprint. It is remarkable that the CASTELLO series showed very encouraging results at the recent Dubai INDEX in May 2017“.
Principles of primacy
“Our main advantage is the production process as a whole. We offer design flexibility and impeccable communication with each customer – elements ensured by the experience and know-how of Mavros Lighting’s workforce. We have always respected the aesthetic and functional requirements of each project. It is also no coincidence that we maintain long-lasting partnerships with architectural offices and technical companies and we have stable partnerships with our suppliers. At the same time, an asset that gives us a strategic advantage is the after-sales service we provide”.
